Anglia Speaking Tests
The Anglia Speaking Tests are a valuable addition to the Anglia offer and are available at all levels. “Do you speak English?” is the most popular question.
The Speaking Test is not an exam on its own. Participation is always in combination with the R/W/L examination and can be taken at the same level. Most schools register their candidates at all four levels at the same time and the Speaking test is taken in the same week as the written exam. The Speaking Tests do not have to been taken on a fixed exam date, but they should be conducted within 12 months after participation in the R/W/L examinations. |
Explaned: Internal or External?

There are two ways in which a school can organize the Anglia Speaking Tests. If the teacher is a qualified Speaking Test assessor , who has been trained by Anglia, you are allowed to conduct the Speaking Test with your own pupils at the first eight levels. This means up to the Advanced level. We call this Internal Assessment.
It is also possible that an external assessor will come to conduct the Anglia Speaking Tests with your students at your school. A minimum of 10 participants is required. These assessors are called External Assessors. The levels Proficiency, Masters and all Business levels need to be conducted by an External Assessor at all times. In all cases of Speaking Tests , so both internal as external, the participants will work in pairs. All the Speaking Tests will be recorded and sent to England for assessment. |

Interested in joining us as an Anglia Speaking Test Assessor?
In order to be an Anglia Speaking Test Assessor conducting tests with your own students, you need to be trained by Anglia experts. If no one at your school has been trained and you still want your students to take part in the Anglia Speaking Tests you need to employ an External Assessor. The Anglia Speaking Test Assessor Training starts in November on the same day as the Members Meeting. Part of the training is conducting a number of sample Speaking Tests with your students. The sample recordings will be discussed at the second and final training day.
If you have successfully taken part in the Anglia Speaking Test Assessor Training, you will become a Qualified Anglia Speaking Test Assessor. You will receive an official name card and if you are interested, you can work as a paid Assessor at other schools.
The training covers:
